We seek out projects from hyper-creative artists who we respect and admire. Artists who we think deserve your hard-earned money. Our label exists to satisfy open-minded music fans with eclectic tastes. We believe music is the greatest cultural unifier of our era, so genre is not our concern; just quality music.
We launched Expansion Team Records in the Spring of 2007 to re-invent what a label should be, by running the “music business” how it always should have been run. Our artists retain ownership of their masters, our contracts are created to represent an equal partnership between artist & label, we devote ourselves to creating timeless artwork and we actively support artist development via music placements in films, on television and as an integral part of advertising.Our current artist roster includes Russell Simins and Dan The Automator’s project Men Without Pants, Ready Fire Aim, John McBain (of Monster Magnet), no luck club, Genji Siraisi (of Groove Collective), The Beasts Of Eden, Balún, Malibu (Roger Joseph Manning, Jr.) and label head Alex Moulton.
