"WELL KNOWN DRAG"

So, how was everyone's Thanksgiving?? Yeah, I don't care much either. Don't get me wrong, I like "The Holidays", but I'm just kinda sick of talking about 'em. Call me Scrooge, or Charleton Heston, but I just dont care to talk about the upcoming Holiday season....
Could it be because I am excited about something else?....Yeah, you thought this rant wasn't going anywhere, huh?? EHHHH!! WRONG, SUCKAS!
I'm excited (and thankful) for the release of our (The Voyeurs) album, "Well Known Drag"!
After years of playing with Mr. Hylander, he and I  finally get to release a whole album or original material!! Our previous group,
E>K>U>K couldn't even do that!!
To make things more exciting, we decided to do away with that annoying plastic waste of space called CD's and release on a bigger waste of space called "vinyl". Yes, dear friends, we've reverted back to the old ways of grandpa Joe and did an "LP".
"B-b-b-ut, I don't have a "record player". Well, you're in luck!!
We've not only reverted to the past, we've also looked to the future (in our Delorean) and brought back DIGITAL DOWNLOAD DROP CARDS!
So, we've covered all the bases. We have LP's for the "purists" and we have digital download drop cards for the kids.

"Well Known Drag: will be released on January 27, 2009 on Otik Records. It will be avialable on ITunes as well that day!!

A record release show is set for January 27, 2009 @ The Echo with our best friends, The Monolators and Les Blanks!

I guess that's it for now!! Thanks for listening!
Love,
Sean Voyeur.

SEX AND SMOKING CRACK...

No that was not a way of getting your attention...We actually have sex and crack smoking as part of the resume now!!! Grandma will be proud!

As I mentioned on the last blog, we were featured on an episode of THE CLEANER...Turns out the scene involved said things....Below is  a link to the clip....Watch the whole episode if you'd like...If you wanna skip to the good stuff, it's part 2....

There it is....Enjoy!!!

Next week I'll have updates regarding videos for both "THINGS PEOPLE SAY" and "GHOST SONG" (which can be heard as a demo on our myspace)

Horray and Hooorah!

The Sean - a- Than (noun: The Voyeurs)

BENJAMIN BRATT AND A JANITOR WALK INTO A BAR...

OUCH!!

So tonight, our song "THINGS THAT PEOPLE SAY" will be featured on an episode of "The Cleaner" starring Benjamin Bratt. I don't think it's about a janitor......Either way, tune in TONIGHT (Tues. Sept 30) to A & E at 10pm (Pacific).

For all ya'll LAer's, we are playing a last minute show tomorrow night at Spaceland as part of CLUB NME. It's sponsored by Indie 103.1 FM and NME Magazine from the UK. We play at 9pm and it's 21+.

I guess that's it for now. Keep listening to our RCRDLBL tunes and if you want more, go to www.myspace.com/wearethevoyeurs!

Goodbye!

Sean Voyeur

Rick Wright R.I.P. etc

I found out this morning that Richard Wright, piano/keyboardist and founding member of PINK FLOYD died from cancer. Pretty tragic. What's more tragic, however,  is that after maybe, say, and hour the story was completely thrown out the window for things like "Britney makes a comeback!" and "TRL to end in November"

Do we really have to start weeping for TRL? Couldn't we wait for November? Do we care that Britney Spears is "coming back" AGAIN? I didn't know she went anywhere!!

I guess Rick Wright didn't have a very good PR person.

It's quite a shame that a "real musician" who made great music for over twenty years, could just be forgotten within hours by mainstream media..... Id have given it at least a  day!!

I could go on, but I dont wanna sound like "that guy"

I hope you are all enjoying our FREE download from last week, "Walk Out The Door"

I dedicate that song to Rick Wright and Syd Barrett!!

Love,

Sean Voyeur

WALK OUT THE DOORS?

First, I'd like to thank RCRDLBL for not mentioning that we sound like The Doors during the "jazz breakdown" of "Walk Out The Door".....We get it way too much. Not to say that The Doors are bad (Morrison was kind of a douche..) but it's refreshing to hear something else.

I hope you all like that song too. It's the style we're gravitating toward these days.....So, deal with it!!!

I suppose that's it for now. Thanks for reading and please..If you like "Walk Out The Door", put it at the end of your next mix tape...Or end of side A. Either way, it's effective. I swear...

Love,

Sean and Jonathan

ps-Sorry Jim....

PPO OR HMO???

So I am at  a new job and I gotta figure out what Medical partner to use....Maybe I should watch SICKO and then flee the US out of pure fright..... See, this is important because I gotta figure out a way to insure my wrist...We have so many shows this week and if that trend continues -which I hope it does - my wrist will totally go dead. Any drummers out there willing to give me some warm up tips????

For those of you in LA, we have 6 shows within the next week and a half, starting tomorrow in LONG BEACH with our buddies, WET CASSETTE - who happen to be 3/4 of ROLLING BLACKOUTS(www.myspace.com/rollingblackouts)- then it all ends September 13 @ The Knitting Factory in Hollywood....Ewwww, Hollywood. In between though, there are plenty of excellent shows to come to. Check the page for details. For those not in Los Angeles.....Sorry..

Jonathan and I hope you enjoyed the two tunes that we've posted for you. Within the next week or two we will be posting another tune for you RCRDLBL peeps. So, stay tuned.

I guess that's it for now....Drummers...I'm serious....Help me?

Love,

Sean Voyeur

We're getting there, kids!!

We certainly are...Looks like our rcrdlbl fan base has exceeded 5! To that, I say those 5 people are invited to watch Robocop at my house whenever they want. Ohhh, you wanna watch Robocop too? Well, join the family! We will try and post as many of these useful blogs as possible and offer more free songs and up to the minute Voyeur info. That, and Robobcop....
Anyway..... September is shaping up to be a busy month. We have shows spread out the month, including "The Show We Will Never Forget" on Sept. 11th @ Silverlake Lounge in Silverlake wih Les Blanks (check em out if you haven't) as well as a show at The Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in Hollywood. It's like a Saturday Night Live format and we'll either be ripping up photos of important religious figures or playing a song they didn't ask us to play. All shows are posted both here and our myspace (www.mysapce.com/wearethevoyeurs)
September is also busy because it MAY be the month we finish our full length record!!! We've been working on it ever since the first Dark Knight trailer last summer. Fucked up, huh? It'll be done and we'll be disappointed...But YOU'LL LOVE IT!!

Till then, enjoy the two tunes we have here and the few others on myspace. While you're there, check out some various Voyeur projects like Vaudeville, The Mind Blasters and our very own "record label" OTIK Records.

lots of hugs!
Sean and Jonathan Voyeur
