FEATURED: A Mix For Today

We'll make no bones about it: we celebrated pretty hard last night (so did some of our friends.) But, of course, that feeling didn't subside come morning, and I figured why not corral together some jams to keep the good vibes going strong. So, below you'll find my "Post-Election Revolution Rock Mix", a selection of tracks from our virtual stacks that I think fit the mood of today. I chose these songs for reasons both obvious and arbitrary, but all are assuredly jams that will have you feeling pretty powerful and happy and I think that's what counts. Without further aplomb, the music.

1. Gui Borrato - Beautiful Life

2. The Arcade Fire - No Cars Go

3. Amazing Baby - Surpreme Being

4. Gang Gang Dance - House Jam

5. Santogold - Your Voice

6. Bad Brains - Give Thanks And Praises

7. The Juan Maclean - Find A Way

8. Ted Leo & The Pharmacists - The Sons Of Cain

9. Love Is All - Wishing Well

10. The Mae Shi - I Get (Almost) Anything I Want

11. The War On Drugs - Taking The Farm

Look, we're music nerds. That's what we do here. We don't really want to get political on our readers, but today is probably the most significant day in the United States since September 11th, so if you're over the age of 18 and able, go vote today. If you don't know where your polling station is, Google has your back. We're all really excited and nervous and will surely be glued to our televisions while the news rolls in tonight, but until then we'll leave you with some great footy of The Clash, who could motivate even the most ambivalent among us to care. We're guessing Joe would probably be pretty stoked about today.
