Similar to the behemoth they cooked up for us on July 4th, this 90-minute, genre-hopping, Halloween-themed mix from Midnight Rockers Express–they of the excellent Brooklyn Radio show and always on-point blog–should prove an excellent mood enhancer for your "holiday weekend." And just like last time, every song included was pulled from the digital stacks here at RCRD LBL, so hit the break for all your hyperlinked tracklist needs.

This weekend, while we were grilling meat and shooting roman candles at our cousins, we managed to upload this fantastic new mix from Midnight Rockers Express, in hopes that some would find it useful for their holiday throwdowns. MRE, a New York-based DJ collective centered around a show on Brooklyn Radio and an always terrific blog, arranged the summer-themed mix with tracks from our digital stacks, meaning that every song included is available here on the site. DJ GetLive, MRE's youngest member, cut it all together in one take (!), using selections from Rockers' producer Lee Sanford that date all the way back to our inception. Grab both sides at the links below, peep the fantastic cover art just above, and hit the break for the linked-up tracklist.

XLR8R's podcast this week comes courtesy of our pals in L.A. hip-hop/electronic duo Meanest Man Contest, who put together a DEEP selection of tunes and by that we mean we don't even know half of these artists or where they come from. The Wirtschaftswunder? A sloppy cover of "Cum On Feel The Noize" sung by kid? Dudes were aiming for left-field and knocked it out of the park. Download and tracklist right here.

Meanest Man Contest - We Wouldn't Want It Any Other Way (Débruit remix)

Meanest Man Contest - Let's Go (f/ Subtitle & Eso Tre)

Meanest Man Contest - The Tenderloin

Meanest Man Contest - Throwing Away Broken Electronics

Meanest Man Contest - I Would Leave

Meanest Man Contest - Partially Smart

Meanest Man Contest - Sexy Rap Proposition!

Cars and Trains - Sometimes Falter, Sometimes Sway (Meanest Man Contest Remix)

We'll make no bones about it: we celebrated pretty hard last night (so did some of our friends.) But, of course, that feeling didn't subside come morning, and I figured why not corral together some jams to keep the good vibes going strong. So, below you'll find my "Post-Election Revolution Rock Mix", a selection of tracks from our virtual stacks that I think fit the mood of today. I chose these songs for reasons both obvious and arbitrary, but all are assuredly jams that will have you feeling pretty powerful and happy and I think that's what counts. Without further aplomb, the music.

1. Gui Borrato - Beautiful Life

2. The Arcade Fire - No Cars Go

3. Amazing Baby - Surpreme Being

4. Gang Gang Dance - House Jam

5. Santogold - Your Voice

6. Bad Brains - Give Thanks And Praises

7. The Juan Maclean - Find A Way

8. Ted Leo & The Pharmacists - The Sons Of Cain

9. Love Is All - Wishing Well

10. The Mae Shi - I Get (Almost) Anything I Want

11. The War On Drugs - Taking The Farm
