A1 Bassline takes no prisoner. The Londoner's remix of Little Boots' "Remedy" finds the femme actuelle whirring and beleaguered within a maelstrom of Hardcore, Speed Garage, Bassline and Acid House. It sounds like someone in London tuned infinite hi-fis to pirate radio in about 1985 and then wrapped them around the moon, so that when the bow returned you could hear the birth of every UK bass sound of the last 20 years all at the same time. Vicious, twisted, time-compressing club music. Get Friday hype!

Cribbing your name from the most notorious of Beats invites a lot of criticism and/or assumptions, but thankfully Kerowack avoid any embarassments at the hand of their moniker by doing the slouchy, big-beat acid thing really well. "Dirtgrabber" is from their First EP (these guys are cheeky), pairing overdriven drum samples with a sqirumy 303 riff that sounds like a funk bass line run through a dishwasher. Also, shout to Saul Good, one-half of the New York-based duo, as it's his birthday today. Happy Birthday dude.

At this moment I want nothing more than to see a room full of people dancing to this song. I want to see them serious at the racing, arpeggiated Italo-tech bassline and - anticipating brutality - half-dreading the full drop. Then I want to see them laughing in hysterical relief and wagging their fingers at each other in time with the cheeky, squeaky 303 acid-house synth motif. Robotnick's a strange case - he first started making music 25 years ago and went seminal with the release of 1983's "Problèmes d'Amour", an Italo-disco track with an easy urbanity about it that appealed to the aspirant Europhile DJs who'd eventually turn Chicago and New York clublands into dance meccas. "Obsession For The Disco Freaks" comes from an Italo original who naturally understands the push and pull between cheesy self-parody and discotheque momentum that's necessary for dancefloor success. So succeed!

Our friends at Turbo have hooked us up with previews of two of their newest releases, excellent EPs from French producer Brodinski and British analogue legend DMX Krew. DMX's Bass Drop is a thrilling acid endeavor with linguine 303s and full-bodied electro rhythms, a refreshingly legitimate dose of a sound that's been copped by pretty much everyone in the game. Brodinski's Oblivion is a much more modern dance record with deep, punchy drums and see-sawing synths. Featuring remixes from Clouded Vision and Noob, we've only got this one up for stream, look for it to drop sooner rather than later. Hit the Turbo blog for more info on both.

All this week we’ll be releasing exclusive goodness from our partners at Fool's Gold, who have a bevy of hot records coming out soon. Check back every day for more tunes, and if you like what you hear, make sure to go cop some records and threads over at their store.
DJs/producers Andrew Ross and Scott Seewhale linked up bonding over early Chicago and Detroit classics, but don’t get it twisted—Nacho Lovers is not a tribute act. The duo have torn down the walls of the Warehouse and the Music Box only to rebuild them brick by brick inside a cramped Toronto apartment with way too many records. Over the past year they’ve been cooking up original tracks that the meld vintage acid synths of their heroes with the forward-thinking thump of modern techno and house, all brought to life with an untamed, underage house party energy. And while these whiz kids know their history, Nacho Lovers is the sound of underground dance music right now. "Acid Life / Go On" is their Fool's Gold debut, a double A-side single that's had the internet salivating for months in advance of its release. This exclusive RCRD LBL megamix features all the tracks from the single, including great remixes from Eli Escobar and FG labelmates Jokers Of The Scene. Check for the full package later this month, just in time for Nacho Lovers' US tour dates on the Fool's Gold Remixed trek.
