LIVE: Mark Ronson & Aaron LaCrate Play Webster Hall This Saturday, 12/20

This Saturday two major selectors will be invading New York's Webster Hall for what is sure to be another top-notch Holiday Party. Mark Ronson, who recently put together a little anniversary playlist for us, will link up with Milkcrate boss Aaron LaCrate for a bash that promises "special guests and four floors of music." I would expect a good amount of old-school hip-hop and impeccable style all around. Full flyer after the jump.

DJ Teki Latex at Modular Club
Forgot to tell you about that: Teki Latex is also a DJ, a good one at that, and he just did a summer podcast for the great dudes over at Modular (third door on the left, knock hard). It's called Teki Latex Summer Jams.
EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD: Adam Freeland - Burn the Clock

International DJ superstar Adam Freeland was commissioned to compose a piece for the new Amnesty International advertising campaign, mostly to be shown in European movie theaters. It’s a vintage-sounding electro/trip hop/ambient track, like something out of an Irvine Welsh novel (that’s a compliment, BTW). Obviously, where music and marketing collide there’s always SEEN, so they nabbed an exclusive download of the song for their RCRD LBL blog. Head over to their page to check it out, as well as a video for the ad itself.
Sounds like: My Bloody Valentine, Justice

Maybe it’s just the years of narcotics-induced dementia, but we think this Sammy Bananas track that Fool’s Gold just linked to, called “All the Girls”, is all kinds of hilarious. As soon as it starts we titter with glee, and not only because we have the maturity level of a third-grader. It’s really catchy, lethally so, and we’ve been finding ourselves muttering, “All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom” under our breath in public. A lot.

So, Moby ended up packing the house at Music Snobbery's birthday bash, and it looked like an earthquake of a blast. We thought we'd share this video of the Mobster doing "Porcelain", an old classic from back in the day. Gosh, those were the days.
FEATURED: People Don't Dance No More

Another weekend, another mind-blowing dance party at People Don't Dance No More, the electro night put on my our pals Robot Blair and Dave Bruno. This week, come out to Love to check out a very special tag-team set by Nick Chacona (2020, Hector Works, Mood) + My Cousin Roy (of Wurst Edits fame). And of course, RCRD LBL homie Jacques Renault will be holding down the fort as well. The party is free with an RSVP to peopledontdancenomore@gmail.com or $10 at the door.
You know where to find us.
FEATURED: Moby, DJ Mehdi and Tommie Sunshine hold down Hiro tonight

Tonight, we happily haul ass down to Hiro Ballroom for another edition of Degenerates, Moby's downtown throwback to the olden days of the Manhattan house music scene. This week he's holding down the fort with NYC stalwart DJ Tommie Sunshine (he of the ever-expanding facial hair) and one of our favorites from the influential Ed Banger crew, Parisian institution DJ Mehdi. It's bound to be good times al around, so we'll see you on the dancefloor. Bonus: last time we saw Tommie DJ (we think it was opening for the Sounds at WEebster Hall a few months back), he had this awesome girl dressed as a Gothic Lolita dancing by him at all times... we hope she'll be back.
