- Bio: July is typically one of the coldest months in the bay. Fog burns off in August and by September we're all burning up. That's when we have all of our street festivals, block parties, BBQs, etc. That's when we celebrate living in the greatest place on earth.
It was a hot saturday afternoon a few weeks ago so I retreated to the studio for the air conditioning and lack of BBQ invitations. In a small room with no windows, I managed to make a sun-soaked, sweaty, highlife inspired ditty. Like most of my remixes, I decided to get it out while it was still relevant, while it's still hot as hell all over California. Written, recorded, released in just over 2 weeks. We're going to debut it with a West African drumming sextet this Saturday at Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco. (less)
