his most distinctive sound comes from collaborations with rnb singer
jesse boykins III and rising producer machinedrum; he raps
(occasionally sings) over new wave/nu rave beats, borrows from
whitney houston, squarepusher and the sister act 2 OST and cites
michael jackson, prince, lauryn hill kraftwerk, the smiths and the
ramones as influences.
in december dude played one show in london that set the UK industry
to chatter but that was only a beginning. he's got songs for days and
this friday he releases THIS CHARMING MIXTAPE via myspace.
in march he heads out on a US tour with UK band futurecop! making
stops at SXSW and WMC before returning to europe for shows in april.
