- Bio: Trickling beneath the seams of the Brooklyn indie scene is a band you probably haven't heard of yet. The Jealous Girlfriends formed in 2004 and have slowly built a momentous pressure, playing shows at venues such as New York City's Bowery Ballroom and having songs featuried on "Grey's Anatomy" and "The L Word". Earlier this year, Billboard Magazine discovered this gem of a band and featured them with a write up full of praise following it up with a showcase at New York City's The Cutting Room. Their video for "How Now" won first prize in the iPod Music Video Contest. Most recently, The Jealous Girlfriends were featured on the cover of the Deli Magazine's seventh issue – a must read for those interested in the up-and-coming New York indie scene. Their latest craft sparkles from every angle—boasting credits from Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeah's) and Dan Long (Kevin Devine, The Fatales) – so much so, that the tinge of greatness sticks with you long after the record stops. The Jealous Girlfriends is a four-piece that could hold their own against super-collective Broken Social Scene.
