Bio: New York City's The Dig have played music together in one incarnation or another since they were twelve years old, and in 2007 they released their acclaimed debut EP, Good Luck and Games. The release of their EP combined with steady touring during the spring/summer of 2008-- including two four-week residencies at Pianos in the Lower East Side, a summer tour along the east-coast, and multiple appearances on Fox's Fearless Music -- has earned The Dig a loyal following. The Dig are currently playing shows to promote their 3-song followup to the Good Luck and Games EP, with recent performances including opening spots for Girl Talk and Tapes 'n Tapes. The band will spend the rest of 2008 bringing their music to as many new people as possible before recording their first full-length during the winter of 2009. (less)
