The MRE's DJ GetLive is featured on these special mixes created for RCRD LBL, cutting the mixes live in one take each while combining edits and studio re-works for a unique ride. MRE's producer Lee Sanford curated the tracks dating back to RCRD LBL's inception. DJ Carlos Ramos contributed a special edit to KOL's "Use Somebody" remix while the Rockers design crew came with the collabo RCRD LBL_MRE mp3 covers.

GetLive is the MRE's youngest DJ, having come up in Queens on the b-boy scene and through turntablist battle sessions (he was BET's 106 + Park Battle DJ Champ in '05). He recently repped the Midnight Rockers sound at Cargo in London alongside performers Melo-X and Rox (Rough Trade) as part of a music series presented by Gilles Peterson's new label. Following production on these summer mega-mixes Live is headed to Switzerland for a headline DJ set at the Open Air Festival with Kanye West and NERD performing. (less)
