That feeling you get when a band you already like comes with something new that just transcends? That’s the feeling you get from this new Panther track. A four-note piano figure; Joe Kelly’s steely resolve on the drums; a couple of solar-flare guitar lines; and Charlie Salas-Humara demanding goosebumps with the chorus, “When your love / It is sold / It is cold.” Man. The Portland duo’s new album, Entropy, drops at the end of September, and by then you’ll have listened to “Love Is Sold” 400 times and be just about ready for more.
