Black Mold is Chad VanGaalen, Chad VanGaalen is Black Mold, so the bio goes. VanGaalen’s been pulling accolades for a while, but as his electronic alter-ego, Snow Blindness is Crystal Antz is a dreamy debut, an instrumental biopic of sorts.  “Metal Spider Web” invokes a Japanese garden interlude while “Tetra Pack Heads” is the type of stuttering feedback, if played backwards, should unlock the secret level in Zelda. Flemish Eye drops the album on August 11th and hangover/writing your memoir/3am introspectives await below.
