Ladytron have always struck me as a mysterious lot. Since forming in 1999, the demure electro quartet have been content to bubble away in the background, watching on quietly as the Ed Banger bandwagon came and went, keeping their art separate and unsullied by fads and an army of uncouth synth rippers. In keeping with that image, Ladytron will only be playing one live show this year; at London's Matter club on Friday July 17th. They have, though, deemed us worthy of hearing this, a version of "Tomorrow" (from last year's Velocifero LP) remixed by synth magi Martin Wheeler in his esteemed Vector Lovers guise. It's elegant, minimal and tense - so why have they chosen to go and ruin it all by producing the new Christina Aguilera record? For any awaiting that with baited breath, take a listen below for a glimpse at how XTina might sound once made aware of the concept of 'elegance'.
