DOWNLOAD: Kevin Saunderson - World of Deep

It's hard to overstate Kevin Saunderson's importance to the world of electronic dance music. As one of the Detroit-based Belleville Three, rounded out by Juan Atkins and Derrick May, Saunderson's music helped lay the foundation for the entire genre of techno. His Inner City project with Paris Grey was easily the first techno act to break into the mainstream. To celebrate over two decades of influential music, Saunderson's KMS label commissioned Carl Craig, Luciano, Jesse Rose, Joris Voorn, and Claude VonStroke, among others, to remix some of his signature tunes to be collected on CD. You should hear one of his original songs before the History Elevate collection lands: "World Of Deep," done under the moniker E-Dancer, has brought countless clubs to a deafening roar since its release in 1998, its swollen bass line causing iridescent pads to shudder in awe. Perhaps you will, too.

Sounds like: Carl Craig, Harmonic 313, Kenny Larkin
