EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: ...Students - New Habits

If you favor the hook-heavy indie rock of French Kicks and the laid-back lyrical style of Albert Hammond Jr. or Nickel Eye (The Strokes' Nikolai Fraiture's side project), you will dig ...Students. Over simple piano power chords and lush, cymbal brushes in "New Habit", Mike Frey rues about dying young like a half-drunk, disenchanted surf-rocker, lamenting some chick's swift departure while contemplating a quick end. But melancholy lyrics aside, "New Habits" and "Once" is nonchalant rock that is raw and intoxicating, reminiscent of late 90s/early 2000s era indie garage bands.
