Telepathe indulge this weird part of our brains where crunk, loft shows, dancing, lasers, and noise all mix into some beautifully deranged and awesome computer music, and finally the general public can buy it en masse when their highly-recommended debut album, Dance Mother, hits 4/19 through IAMSOUND. "Lights Go Down" is one of the standouts, a dripping piece of pitched-down ghettotech that sounds like kung fu movie music from 2045. The girls are down in Austin this week, presumably freaking people out with their hate-it-or-love-it live show. Word of advice: just go with it, people. Awkwardness is healthy for your ego.
