EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Napoleon IIIrd - The Strong Nuclear Force

Appropriately enough Napoleon IIIrd belongs to a combative musical lineage, James Mabbett's performance piece descended from other oddball loons like Gary Wilson, Tom Waits and James Pants. "The Strong Nuclear Force" even recalls Prince at times, but in truth the gambit, pulled from new mini-album Hideki Yukawa, is too jarring for such a comparison, forging a funk that's low-slung, high-strung, white-boy; guitars flinching their way through grey atomic paranoia while Mabbett's throat, so desperate for release, ends up just bursting apart.
