DOWNLOAD: Doug Paisley - Digging In the Ground

Doug Paisley was born Canadian, now lives in Great Britain, but you'd never know he was a "God Save the Queen" kind of guy by listening to his delicately methodical self titled album.  This is pure dust-choked Americana in the most classic sense of the word, songs written in the tradition of simple, detailed story telling.  The most resonating, like today's "Digging In the Ground," feature Paisley's stark delivery intertwined in a twangy female fire-side duet.  There is something reassuring in Paisley's lack of bombastic grandeur, somedays you just want some stories and escapism never sounded so easy.

Sounds Like: Bill Patton, Phosphorescent, Will Oldham
