EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Mike Bones - What I Have Left (Sian Alice Group Remix)
.jpg)
I remember the first time I saw Mike Bones. It wasn't a particularly monumental occasion, but I do remember - he was peering up out of what looked like a hospital bed, half naked and with an expression that suggested he was sick, tired and drunk. The fact the poster was tacked to the sticky walls of The Old Blue Last - the east London watering hole owned by Vice Magazine - confirmed that the first I'd hear of him would be all punk and noise and trash; a cross between The Voidoids and Wavves or Old Blood or something. What I wasn't expecting was a track that sounded pulled from the OST for the hipster cut of Slumdog Millionaire, where rudeboy starts playing an organ and everyone in the audience weeps into their fake prescription glasses. He seems like a sweet guy that Mike Bones. And, if it wasn't for this Sian Alice Group remix which surrounds the sugar with bleep and drone, I'd probably let him take my sister out dancing.
Sounds Like: Titus Andronicus, Wooden Wand, U2
