MV & EE stole blues rock, then jammed it in a washing machine. That's not to say sh*t's getting cleaned up - taken from new album Drone Trailer "Anyway" is resolutely twisted; wrapping pervy guitar licks around themselves, boy/girl vocals flirting like mental patients, drums doused in absinthe and railing torrentially against 'squares'. Fusing rock's roots with its glorious past and dragging the result into a digital present, by the time Matthew 'MV' Valentine and Erika 'EE' Elder are done the former sounds tripped out, the latter long-suffering and they're both upside down. Man! Woman! Blues... hic.
