It was almost year ago to the day that we first posted about Banjo or Freakout and since then RCRD LBL has kept tabs on Alessio Natalizia with joyous vigilance, following him through a slew of London live shows and a covers repertoire that saw the hits of acts as far-flung as Burial and Battles, Invisible Conga People and Amy Winehouse reworked into his ghostly possession. His own ‘versions’ recently found their way into physical form with the limited release of this Covers CD, but now he returns with something his own; “72 (Everything Fast)” a track that revels in the same looped sound and tension of the barely-there that has bruised previous jams, skating along on snake-charmer samples and lax middle eastern tubs. Its title something of a misnomer, "72 (Everything Fast)" finds Natalizia with more poise and confidence than ever before, the eye at the heart of a dizzying sandstorm.
