VIDEO THRWBCK: The Cure - Push (Live) [1987]
In 2004, I saw The Cure play three times in one summer and I'm almost 100% positive that they never played "Push," which was a bummer because this is easily one of the best non-single songs the band ever wrote. If the intro wasn't two and half minutes long it likely would've wound up being a big track, but it's not, because that opening guitar riff is so awesome it deserves a bit of breathing room. Thanks to YouTube I can watch them play it in 1987 at the Théâtre antique d'Orange in southern France (it's an ancient Roman amphitheater) back when Robert Smith actually looked like the normal one and Lol Tolhurst was still pretending he knew how to play keyboards.
