Combining in-your-face 80s female vocals with slippery synths and bass lines that would make Justice blush, "The Perfect Sound" is the kind of song that only take 2 and a half minutes to make you realize you need to listen again.  And again.  If a song could embody snorting pixie sticks in 8th grade, Anavan birthed it.  Other tunes on their November 11 release, Cover Story, are more 4 on the floor minimal fuzz dance rock, just listen to the hard candy rolled in dirt sugar sludge of "Traumatology."  Coming from the fertile ground of LA's The Smell, these 3 have a mad robotic noise all their own and should come with a warning of addictive perfection.
