Jason Drake, bka Cassettes Won’t Listen, has a knack for crafting big hooks in small spaces. His one-man bedroom electronica is insular and warm but never heavy, all floating melodies and clever couplets. On September 9 CWL will drop the new Freeze And Explode EP, featuring two brand new tracks and just as many fresh remixes. Today we’ve got an EXCLUSIVE take of the title cut from Philadelphia/Brooklyn DJ duo Philadelphyinz, who take Drake’s cue and head even further into the cosmos, sculpting an electro-disco stomper that sounds like New Order jamming with the Postal Service.
