Just listen to this song--it's a pop song, it was a #1 single, but it's so weird and disjointed and bizarre you've got to wonder if people just had better taste back then or if this was just some sort of cosmic fluke. God forbid a pop star would come out with something like this nowadays and make it successful based on wit and bravado alone. This sounds like the Animal Collective without making our head hurt, and that's an achievement worth noting.
