STREAM: Daniel Lanois - Moondog + Duo Glide

Uber-producer Daniel Lanois should need no introduction—he’s worked with everyone from U2 to Bob Dylan, and has won numerous awards, including several Grammys. But Daniel doesn’t only twiddle the knobs for international rock acts, he’s also a proficient solo artist, which brings us to two MP3s we’re streaming today, from his 2007 record Here Is What Is: “Moondog” and “Duo Glide”, both dark-as-hell folk ‘n’ blues songs of the highest order. It’s a kind of music caught in time, that seems impossible to reconstruct with the sentiments of modern times. Slide guitars and rustling jazz pianos craft something lonely, unique.
