VIDEO THRWBCK: Dogs Die In Hot Cars - I Love You 'Cause I Have To (2004)
We totally dug this forgotten gem out of the giant pile of CDs that is currently on the floor of our apartment (extracted from our shelving in an attempt to downsize our record collection) and couldn't believe it wasn't a massive hit. Dogs Die in Hot Cars sound like the perfect marriage of XTC, Dexy's Midnight Runners (before they went crazy) and post-Britpop UK flair. They band were uncerimoniously dropped from V2 records a few years ago, but recently they've relocated to Spain and started posting raw tracks on their blog and asking fans to mix and produce them. Interesting to say the least, and we truly hope someone signs DDIHC and gives this awesome pop band a second chance...

I've been making a playlist
I've been making a playlist for my birthday the past week and re-found this song too. Madness!
It was an awesome song though...

Cameron, I seriously can't believe you found a job where you get paid to blog about the band Dogs Die in Hot Cars in 2008
