Need we remind any New Yorkers out there, while focusing on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, you may want to snag tickets for Joe's Pub tonight or Bowery Ballroom tomorrow night to see El Perro Del Mar and Lykke Li. If we weren't subtle enough yesterday with the Lykke Li exclusive, we will reiterate today: the golden-tinged music coming out of Sweden these days is putting a perpetual smile on our faces. The tracks below of El Perro Del Mar are light, lofty and billowing- at times liturgical, most times ethereal.

Plus doesn't Sarah Assbring evoke the tom-boyish waif Jean Seberg in Jean-Luc Goddard's "Breathless"? Ba oui- especially in the pict above.
