DOWNLOAD: The Blacks - Raincoat
.jpg)
The innocent name “Raincoat,” barely disguises the bold, bad-ass punk by San Francisco's The Blacks. From the album Nom De Guerre, “Raincoat” is tethered together with a heavily-loaded electric guitar hook- brash enough for a Porche race on Italian cliffs. But the vocals crawl in, slithering (keep in mind, vocalist Luisa Black has the charisma of Karen O). You start to succumb. By the time the deep drum bridge beats down, you are rendered numb and salivating. If there was an apple involved, by then you would have demolished it all to the core and kissed the snake in thanks.
