The Frequency starts with a steady beat and builds a tower of sound with tingling, experimental undulations.  Over top, the lyrics ache with shoe-gaze melancholy. It's dream-worthy yet distorted. At any time- their songs feel like they are about to deconstruct. (Hmmm kinda like an anthem to the state of the union....... or at least to our pocketbooks?)

The Frequency's been god damn busy. After touring last with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, they just embarked on a new tour tonight and just released a new album We Are The Same Machine.

I saw this band at the earth

I saw this band at the earth day concert at the Santa Monica Pier. Amazing music - really caught us off guard and reminded me a lot of an Air show with the attention to detail and level musicianship. Will definitely see them again.
