The other day War On Drugs saved me from one of those days when I was thinking that there'd never be anything new again that I actually liked. Well not new in the sense that nothing like it had ever come before. But new in the sense that it just came out and listening to it feels like talking Dylan and Petty on the beach with Avey Tare and my brothers and dad and beers. But maybe that's just cuz it says Beach there in the title of the song. You listen.

They sound like a mix of good 70's rock music combined with some of the tolerable pop rock music of today. These guys have a chance of doing well as they have the ability of sounding good to fans of several different genres of music.

Their blend of sound is what is good about music these days. I can't stand what I hear on MTV these days and like hearing something that many people could enjoy. I'm not a big far of a specific genre and this band does a good job of breaking across genre lines.
