EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD: The Felice Brothers - Tip Your Way

All good things must come to an end, and thus concludes out three-week run with one of our new favorite bands, the Felice Brothers, with the exclusive song “Tip Your Way” from their self-titled debut album, out tomorrow on Team Love Records. Like the Brothers’ previous RCRD LBL singles, “Frankie’s Gun!” and “San Anotonio’s Burning”, “Tip Your Way” is a tortured country ballad, with Ian Felice’s tremibling vocals weaving tales of, what else, death and despair, lost love and redemption.

This is what we love about the Felice Brothers: most bands are “retro”, but they party like it’s 1929. You can almost taste the criminal amounts of moonshine that must have been consumed to record this heart wrenching number and he narratives the band craft with their lyrics are as compelling as any southern gothic novel. When “Tip Your Way” ends (no spoilers!) you will be as floored as we were. The track is the last song on The Felice Brothers, so it does have a sort of exquisite finality to it.

We’re sure to be posting more stuff from this band in the future, but for now, enjoy “Tip Your Way” and make sure to cop the album tomorrow!
