EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD: Dirty on Purpose - Hard To Tell You

Oh, Dirty on Purpose. How our boys have grown. From seeing them play the Mercury Lounge/Northsix (RIP!)/Sin-e(RIP!) circuit circa 2003, to releasing even more brilliant songs as the indie giants they have so elegantly evolved into. That said, we’re really proud here at RCRD LBL to be releasing their brand new single “Hard To Tell You” off of their exclusive EP Dead Volcanoes. As we said, it’s all about evolution for DoP, and this song sees them take their indie pop roots and weave them into a true Americana sound. “Hard To Tell You” sounds like “Crimson and Clover” by Tommy James & the Shondelles whisked down a southern dirt road in a beat-up old van, on its way to the next dive bar show. It makes us long for summer, road trips, getting drunk and seeing awesome bands.

As if that weren’t cool enough, DoP are playing loads of shows soon, most notably the much anticipated Valentine’s Day show with Band of Horses, and a headlining Mercury Lounge show they just booked for April 4th. Be sure to get tickets ASAP…
