LIVE: Liars and No Age at Warsaw, Brookyn 2.9.08

Last Saturday, contemporary legends Liars played a show at Warsaw in Brooklyn with LA experimental buzz band No Age. For people into freaky melodies, this was the show of the season, and many of our moles reported the utter fan chaos that erupted at the show. Our man on the scene Erik Carter reports: "This show was truly insane. No Age played a bunch of songs off of their upcoming Sub Pop debut and announced that they were playing a more intimate show on Monday at Market Hotel. If these guys don't save rock and roll this year, I don't know who will. Liars freaked everybody out in the best way possible. Most of their set consisted off of songs from their latest album and their krautrock opus Drum's Not Dead. Angus Andrew towered over the crowd, despite being confined to a wooden chair for a majority of the show because of a recent back injury. A definite highlight was "The Other Side of Mt. Heart Attack", arguably the bands least frightening but most beautiful song."
We’ve seen Liars many, many times over the years, and we truly believe they are one of the only bands in the world pushing music forward. Here are some more images from the show, and some video courtesy of our enterprising friends over Punk Photo.
